Hopeful Hearts was created in 2010 shortly after finding out that our sweet baby boy would need his 2nd open-heart surgery at just 18 months old. I felt a rollercoaster of emotions and didn't understand why this had to happen to us and why my little guy had to endure this all again and possibly many more times as well. 

After a few days of having a pity-party, I decided that if we had to go through this scary and emotional trial I might as well have a good attitude about it and learn as much as I possibly could about heart defects. In my research I was touched by the many stories I heard and read and felt inspired to do something to give back to these "heart babies" and their families. I started blogging about our story and was immediately overwhelmed with support from friends, family, my community, and even complete strangers. I was so touched by this love and support that I started designing the HOPEFUL HEARTS jewelry collection as my small contribution to the amazing people who reached out to me and my family. All of the profits will be donated to families effected by Congenital Heart Defects and I hope to do some great things with the help of a wonderful group called Intermountain Healing Hearts.
